369 Effect of Diet, Rumen Fermentation Parameters and Their Combination on Predicting Milk Production

Abstract The objective of this meta-analysis was to explore variability in milk production associated with rumen fermentation parameters and diet characteristics. Data were extracted from 138 journal articles used derive 6 models predict MY. Each model considered a different set independent variables, including (R), (D) their combination (R+D), or without interactions pH. Rumen included total volatile fatty acid (VFA) concentration, molar proportions major minor VFA, pH ammonia nitrogen, variables dry matter intake (DMI) dietary percentages (DM) organic (OM), crude protein, neutral (NDF) detergent fiber (ADF), ether extract, starch. Linear mixed-effects weighted by the inverse standard error employed. Models compared based on concordance correlation coefficients after removing random study effects (CCC). MY using D, R, D+R D*pH performed similarly CCC values ranging 0.63 0.65. an interaction superior at explaining variation within data (CCC: 0.75 0.76). Final derived consisted DMI ADF. Molar acetate propionate final R. between starch remained along DMI, DM, NDF From these models, we can conclude that is important moderator associations among diet, production.
